Semi-Final Film Overview

Levi Roots has become the most famous participant of the show ‘Dragons Den’ where in 2007 he was a slayer with his pitch for investment in his Reggae Reggae sauce. He not only brought his delicious product to the table but also came with some singing and a vibrant personality. The dragons couldn’t risk saying no to such a good business opportunity and soon his sauce was on shelf and in demand. Now the brand has been extended to a range of new flavours and products with cook books and tv shows bringing Jamaican culture to Britain.

This short three minute film is set against the backdrop of Brixton where Levi is connected to the community and has become a local hero. So much so he has been
given the keys.

I took the opportunity to rise to this film challenge and directed, produced, filmed and edited it myself. I did a bit of voiceover to tie it together with one of Levi Roots' own songs 'Cool Me Off'
