Semi-Final Film Overview
Kings Cross, London . No one knows each other. No one talks to each other. Everyone lives isolated lives, disconnected from everyone else. I’ve lived here for 5 years now and believe me, it’s not the sort of place you feel the love. But, if you scratch the surface, listen to people, make them feel comfortable enough to share their feelings, you’ll find that there is a story, a conversation, and a shared experience that brings out the hero in us all. First Kiss tells the story of the biggest, most courageous thing that we ever do in our life: the first kiss. The story is heartwarming, moving, funny, and sad. It’s intimate and universal. And, this single story is told by different people, each telling their own, personal, true story.
I love happy stories! I produced, directed, shot and edited (on imovie) the film. Unisa Kamara, a 15 year old volunteer held the boom (his first ever attempt - well done!). My wife Benedetta also kindly held the boom for one interview.
