Semi-Final Film Overview

A CHRISTMAS SOCKING tells the unique and humorous story of night shift worker Andy in his victorious hour as he foils a robbery by pelting the intruders with Christmas puddings. Hailed a hero, he returns home, steps inside the door and realises he has forgotten the Christmas pudding for the Christmas meal.

THE CREW
I wanted to show my versatility and dedication so personally undertook most of the roles on this film. However, thanks must go to Anna Bennett Squire, who helped with sound and Daniel Vivash, who assisted with the lighting. We only had three hours to use the location so it made sense to have a couple of extra pairs of hands.

THE CAST
I used five actors;
Martin Chapman – Andy (main character)
Rory Grierson – Robber & Co-worker
Jack Reichhold – Robber & Co-worker
Oliver Nash - Robber
Grace Nelson – Co-worker

None of them were highly experienced actors yet they were reliable and fun to work with. Most of them were familiar with filming practice so they were very responsive and easy to direct.
