Semi-Final Film Overview
This film takes a dip into the life of Alastair Ian Mowatt AKA The Flodge. An old Oxford Professor who left the realms of conventional employment and turned to a life of enjoyment of his own existence and helping people to see the true meaning of success and happiness.
At the ripe age of 69 Flodge decides to treat himself to a holiday in Ibiza for his 70th birthday. However he needs to raise the money to get there on his own before he can go.
The Flodge was considered by many as one of the greatest minds that ever walked the corridors of Oxford University and inspired the lives of many. This film explores why he left and the impact he had on society juxtaposed to his ongoing fundraising throughout the film.
For his final event he must beat his old Philosophy spiring partner at Snooker to collect the remaining money to get to Ibiza. Will he succeed or will he fail, the film will tell.
